Would be nice, but it just doesn't seem to be part of their DNA.

I don't think you're going to see this. I think they're happy with the basic design. That said, I'd also prefer it on the left with the browsers and stuff on the right. But like other odd Live stuff, I've just adapted and stopped worrying about it. It's most jarring when you first start out.

I can understand the sentiment above about bloat and being on-task. I wouldn't necessarily want a full-blown scoring application, but simply notational entry and for that matter, guitar tab, and drum-style entry. Full notation and scoring is vastly complex and would take a lot of time and resources ...

BTW, you can at least add your own and create aliases using Keyboard Maestro (Mac), or AutoHotKey (Windows). The Mac's keyboard shortcuts always seem to cause issues for me. That may be user error.

I wish they would expand the selection to include all functions and make them all user definable. But I think they like crafting the set they have and are guarding them jealously.
