i just got a 17" powerbook and, as fancy as it looks, it is being outperformed by my puny 1.1 gig PC. why does the demo song in ableton use up almost 30% of the processor at some points, i don't think i ever cracked 50% even with my live PA on the other computer... i am not a big mac guy, so i ...

Multiple workstations for jamming with my band

I can see the timecode coming in from my Tascam FW-1884, but Ableton does not play. How do I make it happen?

i want to learn MAX/MSP

can someone point me to some nice tutorials, etc? looking with google proved to be very ineffective...

i have no firewire.

i am thinking of the lemur because of touring. going into some countries with music gear can be a hassle, that thing is stealth... will it work with live?

I have a lappie with no firewire and want to start using LIve to DJ + do live PAs. Thinking of the IndigoDJ but i really want 2 rca outs...

any suggestions?

also: controller ideas? i would like a lemur, but I dunno if it works with live... maybe a Korg MocroKontrol?
