Hmm, i guess i see whats happening here.. Its not using the macros for the sample itself when its dragged into a slot on an exsisting rack.

Double click the drum rack(empty rack)and add it to a new midi track. And then select one of the sample files within the sub folders of the drum rack (like the "kick" or "snare" folders) For my example I'll choose "Kick-808 classic". Drag that clip to open slot on the d...

There is a transient change there. There just isnt one at the beginning. Add it. Takes 2 seconds and your done.

Well, ive read in another thread that you can use it with a different sound card. So, i suppose the firebox is just so you can buy it and go. Plus, those sound cards arent that bad for what they are.
