closebang seems to ouput a bang as soon as another object is selected (with the mouse in the live gui)
freebang seems to bang only when the device is actually deleted

Is there any way to get a max device to perform an action when it is deleted from a live set? I would like to keep track of how many instances of a given M4L Device are in my Live Set...Using a "value" object, new instances can add to the total. How could I get 1 subtracted from the total ...

poly~ bug?
It would seem that receive objects "r ---something" are not being renamed when in a poly~ voice that was created with a "voices #" message (i.e. NOT on object creation). Anybody else noticed this?

The best way to observe a large number of properties without tears is via the JS API object. My APC40 observer patch went from a nasty 160 odd voice poly~ to about 10 lines of code. We hope to have some more examples of this in the not too distant future. -A Where are the existing examples of JS AP...

Getting the Live Set name (.als filename) from Max?
Is there a way to get the song title through the API objects? I would like my M4L device to able to know, and remember, which Ableton Live Set it is currently loaded in. The song name doesn't seem to be a property accessible through the API. Is there a way for the API to tell me where the .als file ...

keep us posted, I'm also interested. I've gotten this working with through the python api hack, same algorithm and same problem with the 100ms resolution. Don't have the time right now to dive into it, I'm still new to M4L
