Re: Suite download to Suite boxed upgrade includes Live 9 Suite.

I wouldn't worry too much. At the top of this forum is a sticky thread about upgrade prices. In it Ableton state that there will be a special upgrade price for suite owners it just won't be made available until closer to the release date. There just seems to be a little loop hole right now for thos...

Re: Suite download to Suite boxed upgrade includes Live 9 Suite.

How are you guys doing this? Where are you finding the option to "upgrade" to a boxed version? The only way I can see is to go to the shop page, scroll down to merchandise, choose Suite 8, box only (no serial) @ EUR 34 and add to cart - which doesn't give the desired result. It just seems...

Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price

if you upgrade from Suite 8 to Live 9 Standard, you'll retain all Instruments and other extras that you had with Suite 8. You won't get any of the new content with Live 9 Suite that isn't in Live 9 Standard, however. So to be clear: If I own Live 8 suite, max4live, retro synths, drum machines and l...

When you look at some of the stupid decisions Ableton have made over the last 3 years, it's not really suprising to see them f*ck up once again.

Re: Windows 8 DPC latency

It's simple to switch between the desktop and the new "modern" interface, windows key + d gets you the desktop, windows key gets you to start. Windows key + x gets you most of the important menu items (run, cmd prompt, task manager, control panel, file explorer etc.) I'm running it for a f...

I don't have anything to test it on but the Babyface is supposed to be USB3 compatible.
Not cheap but worth every penny IMVHO.

Something like a Casio CZ-230 might be suitable, if you can find one.

Shameless Gong fan here. Discovered them as a teenager in the late 70's and been hooked ever since.

I blame it on the drugs.

Re: Is Machinedrum worth it given the alternatives

It's worth it for me, though I bought mine used. Only you can decide if it's worth it for you. The s/h prices have fallen quite a lot so you could most likely pick one up used, try it for a couple of months and re-sell it without loosing much if it's not. Be warned though, Elektron kit is addictive,...

Have you done your math yet?

In air, sound travels @ roughly 1000ft/s, depending on air pressure, humidity, temperature, etc.
