In hardware, all synths glide as much as you want. Have you tried a different VST?

Portamento will do it.

Sometimes Ableton Live (PC) crashes, but the process keeps running for 5 minutes or so, preventing a restart.

Short of rebooting is there any way back?

I have some clips with patch change messages in them.
I cant see the message in Ableton Live in any way to edit or remove them.

I do have to agree that the idea of needing to use autohotkeys to do this stuff is a joke.
On version 8 already, TEN YEARS in - simple things like key assigns should have been in Ableton Live YEARS ago.

Even better - custom keyboard shortcuts for all the Live's functions so everyone can assign whatever to whatever they want. Would be sooooo nice...
