Do you prefer TRS cables or XLR cables and why?

My current interface is non-ASIO compliant (Alesis), and the lowest output sample buffer I can get without crackling is around a 700, which is well over 17ms. Macro Restrictors : We need to be able to restrict macros to a certain width, and be able to re-scale them. You can, but synthetic/sampled instruments have a notorious reputation for sounding like shit.
