What i really need is the ability to name the cc's so working with external gear and automating it will become intuitive too. And when using vsti's multitimbraly i would really love to see the parameters of the synth where the miditrack is routed too, this would make automating it a lot more intuiti...

you can drag the pattern directly into live, there's no need for recording

use autopan for chopperfx, this chops realtime but doesnt slice
