Re: Recording Vocals In Ableton
if you are looking for something like auto tune, you can't really do that in LIVE. im sure you can get a plug in to do that sort of thing....or you could play or program the vocal melody on piano/keys/guitar and sing along with it, if you don't want to get a new plug in, might help you to not go off...

Re: Live9 very slow with VST plugins...
just to add to what yur2die4 said....you could also bounce your tracks down to audio. you would be surprised by how much weight it takes off of your computer.
yur2die4 is right, just because you CAN have 50+ tracks with vsts (plus probably effects) does not mean ANY computer can handle it.

Re: Monitors: Mackie CR4 vs M-Audio BX5 D2 vs ...
i have 3 pairs of the BX5's two sets of the older style and one set of the newer ones. i use one set for my turntable set up. one set for monitoring while tracking synths and the newer set to mix on. i love them. they work well for me. i'm not saying they are the greatest monitors ever.... but for a...

Re: What would you buy?
@tarekith how do you like that ELECTRIBE? i played one recently at Control Voltage here in Portland. i didn't get a lot of time with it.
i'd love to hear a pro/ cons list. (in a PM if you don't want to do it here)

Re: What would you buy?
i think i would upgrade my furniture right now. rocking a crappy ikea desk and a bunch of keyboard stands and plywood.
runner up
i've always wanted an MPC 1000 or 2000XL
(though the workflow looks exhausting)
