Re: STRATEGIES TO GET THE BEST OUT LIVE : DELAY COMPENSATION
Revisiting this topic again. I see there's still no solid response from the Abes, lovely =/ About to dive back in and feel i've devised a solid work around (hopefully). the concept: 1) Leave Delay Compensation ON 2) Set plug in buffer size to: As Audio Buffer 3) Separate each track into two parts (g...

Re: STRATEGIES TO GET THE BEST OUT LIVE : DELAY COMPENSATION
not to exclude any genres, but i really do think alot of us here are talking about modern dance music right? or at least modern music where tight automation is desired ala synced LFO's, groove heavy stuff etc.. In that vain I would really love a DEFINITIVE explanation from Ableton on the best way to...

Re: Live 8.3 failed side by side configuration incorrect
Ditto. Just got this same exact error on a brand new Windows 7 64bit machine. Ableton was literally the second program I went to install. Not a good send off for my new rig. There's mention of this problem on the Microsoft Answers website but i'm apprehensive about following the instructions without...

Re: Live + 3rd party plugins = FAIL
why not just turn off delay compensation and use a plugin at the end of the effects chain to manually compensate the delay. i understand we want to be lazy and not deal with this, but if it comes to getting work done don't let it hold you back. voxengo offers a free plugin to do exactly this job. p...

Re: Live + 3rd party plugins = FAIL
revisiting this topic. would low latency audio interfaces such as RME PCI cards yield improved performance for this issue in Live? having a difficult time understanding buffer vs VST latency in this regard. also, would adjusting the track delay per track remedy this? by 'track delay' i mean the box ...

Re: Q re Groove 3 Mixing vid - reducing peaks on drums
Stick Abletons Limiter on the channel followed by the Smexoscope then reduce the ceiling on the Limiter to tame the transients I made an instrument rack if anyone wants it? hey good look on the s(M)exoscope!! Utility > Ozone 4 (limiter only) > Utility > s(M)exoscope = WIN :!: As a quick test I used...

Re: Why cant I make my arps sound cool?
You do realize, that in your example "coolness" is mostly done with loads of delay, reverb and glide of the synth? Arp is basically playing notes in downwards order. To answer your initial question: you need to practice more. @LeifonMars wow that was an awfully pretentious way of answerin...

Browser time/date format - editable?
Is it possible to change the browser time/date format? So instead of displaying day.month.year (21.04.2011) it displays 04.21.2011? Also can the time be formatted as well? Instead of 15:24 it displays 3:24PM? minor grip, but it can be helpful sometimes to read it in a format that I can quickly look ...
