Running into problems trying to make my ideal drum rack
Hi guys and girls, I was reading a post about the best way to set up your samples to be able to scroll through them quickly at the touch or twist of a knob. a clever forum user sugested that an idea is to set up a drum rack where each pad contains another drum rack that may have just snares or kicks...

Re: controling drum rack with APC 40 & M4L
I second the nativekontrol aps. awsome and also give you chord and scale functions all at the click of 2 buttons. value for money if you dont understand how to configure that kind of thing (like me) and backed up by great support.

Australia, some people do world wide shipping, the only problem is that it is about
$50 US for shipping. I got mine from http://www.musicarts.com/ because it was the cheapest price+shipping i could find.

Re: DJ live set - sample search
I am working on a couple of similarly large sets. whilst not a search function I find using the "mixed in key" programe and organising everything down the set so similar songs and samples are nearby gives me good workflow and good harmonic mixing results

Re: moving the square on drum rack
simply putting a pitch effect will move what is played one each pad but it doesnt bring into view title/mute/solo views for each pad. as i said before, it is possible with the nativekontrol ap for mpd32 so it must be do able, im just not sure how.

Re: why might i be getting dropouts when my cpu is reading 15%?
Its not an explaination for the dropouts, but freezing the tracks that you arent altering will save on CPU, particularly if you do it to 10-15 of your 40+
