Re: Tempo Sync as Slave issue

you're talking at the sample base level, so 1/48kHz = ~21uS, 96kHz is half that, 192 is 1/4 that. midi is 33kBaud IIRC, a period of 30uS. with midi it's theoretically impossible to get perfect sync at 48kHz without doing a lot of averaging and operations that would slow down the machine's reaction ...

Re: a new version / beta please...

Maschine will soon eat up ableton's share in the market.. not in a million years.. I don't understand why you people keep comparing the two.. while there are some obvious similarities Live is still way ahead of Maschine.. i agree..but similaritys? there are non exept that its computerbased audio so...

Re: Tempo Sync as Slave issue

the time setting will definitely have to change. mine is -11ms IIRC. to get mine setup I recorded Live's metronome into the MPC, chopped it up and set the MPC to have the same metronome sounds. then I hit sync and changed that setting until they flanged. 3phase, you'll help, you're the biggest fanb...

Re: Tempo Sync as Slave issue

Doesn't make any sense though, all other DAWs can do this just fine, why would it not have a locked tempo feature. It takes more effort for the program to vary it's tempo rather than chase what the host is broadcasting... look at 3phase's back posts. the guy does nothing but post negative rants aga...

Re: Possibly get some feedback on my mix down?

Yeah, it's pretty boomy on the low end, you could know a couple dB off below 80Hz on the kick and still be slamming. Only other crit I have is a pet peeve of mine, your percussion and drum loops are flamming here and there and not all lined up. Makes an otherwise tight drum track sound a bit sloppy...

Re: Tempo Sync as Slave issue

but i tell you wahrt you can do.. to safe you asking more question..because ther is no legal way to sync 2 ableton isntances to each other ... you need to run them unsynced.. you only sync the audio interfaces of the two computers via a wordclock or spdif connection..thos way they share the same tim...

Re: Audio Engine Test - Live Versus Pro Tools Versus Logic

nonsense. Exactly. Anyone that believes this should be required to make it known in their signature, so that anything else they say regarding audio can be disregarded. The layout/setup/functions of a program can/will cause you to make different mixing decisions, heck even colors matter, but given i...

no no..the variation is just a thing that the ableton devlopers dont think thats important to keep it tight and the urge to be rather a german middleclass thing that never trys to be the best in anything.. go with the flow..as long its not to worse than the others its allwright.. no stress.tomorow i...

207 not likely to happen and maybe mentioned before.. The back to arrange function could need various updates.. biggest problem its only global.. so you cant yump into an allready exsiting runoff..alter some parametrs on a track.. perform a new break for example and than jump back into the old arra...
