Re: TouchABLE 3
I'm using Mac OS 10.11.5
I did the script install, it didn't work. I deleted it and reinstalled and the same thing. The scripts are in there, but it doesn't connect. I've tried it over USB, wifi network, and Bluetooth.

TouchABLE 3
Can anyone get this to actually work? It never connects and always says Live Is Not Running. I tried emailing them for support a week ago, but the company seems like they couldn't care less about replying.

Severe Automation Issue
I am having a severe problem with automation and playback. When I record MIDI CC data from my iPad (I'm using Lemur and TC Data over Bluetooth) I am unable to get it to playback. The automation is there, but greyed out. The Re-Enable Automation button is continuously on, I can not get it to turn off...

Re: Snare reverb
Another great trick for snare reverb is putting a gate on the reverb and messing around until it sounds nice. Good for a punchy snare.

Re: Getting frustrated with Ableton
Plugins I use are NI, Softube, Izotope, Sugarbytes, Tal-Togu, Serum, Arturia, XILS and Waves. I got rid of the M4L devices, because those are usually the culprits for me having crash issues. I never have issues with the plugins themselves really, other than finding out Waves work better as VST than ...

Getting frustrated with Ableton
Ableton can't freeze a track without crashing it seems. After searching around the Internet, it's obvious that this has been a problem for a few years now for many users. Is this ever going to be fixed? When I bought Live, I don't recall asking for a broken piece of software. The company is getting ...

Automation issues
Hello, I recorded a midi track, notes and CC (plugin is Arturia Moog Modular). All the data is there, however on playback the Re-Enable Automation button keeps turning on, thus greying out my automation. There seems to be nothing I can do to prevent this. The only thing in my Live set is this one tr...

Kontakt Multi Out in Ableton
Is there any way to get multiple outs out of Kontakt in Ableton as an AudioUnit? I see with the VST there are multi out versions, but I prefer AU. I read that it was possible, but I can't find any info on how to actually do it.

Sansamp from Tech 21. By far the best solution for sound quality and ease.

Re: new music
If you want to produce them yourself, the things you need to focus on are your original source hit, like a timpani drum, and then creating the space with some reverbs with long decay times. I find convolution reverbs work best. Guys like Hans Zimmer are just using Spitfire sample libraries for the m...

Re: Nexus or Kontakt
For a sampler, I would just stay with Kontakt. It seems to have the most sample libraries in its format... As far as soft synths go, Reaktor is popular, but the time that goes into it with learning to build your own synths can distract from making actual music, unless you use their libraries. I have...

Re: new music
Not all Spitfire libraries work on the free Kontakt player, but they tell on their site which of their libraries require the full version. The Albion series works with the free player. I would suggest going to their site and just listening to the demo compositions, and watching their tutorial videos...

Re: new music
I second the Spitfire Audio Albion series. I recently purchased Volume 1, and the orchestral quality is nothing short of epic. They are on the pricey side, but worth every penny. And if you're a student, it's a 30% discount.
