Temporarily disable MIDI input

Is there any way, a shortcut, to temporarily disable MIDI inputs?
Sometimes I want to check something on my keyboard, without it actually going through Live.
Ideas?

Re: Upgrade or not

You can find someone selling old licenses, and run version 8 on that machine.

And no, Mac lap top is not good: to much heat, you will constantly have fans spinning.

Re: Double recording, for backup

I have found a solution.
In LogicProX I have selected the built in sound card (that is not in use by Live) than I have also unchecked CoreAudio. Now it works as I wanted...!

Double recording, for backup

Not sure how to explain this, but I would like to make double instances when working with music. I mostly work with MIDI, and I would like to make this flow: 1. work normally in AL, record, change devices, playback, edit, etc. 2. keep recording in another software the whole session (could be 6 hours...

Foot hardware

Friends,
Which (foot-)hardware with buttons can be used to control Live's function such as to turn on/off devices?
I need one that my musician can simply press by foot to activate/deactivate each of them.
Thanks.

Re: CPU usage in Live 10

Hi guys! Still unable to use the same live set with lid open and external display on. That will make the fans go wild and soon Live will choke again. I think that is a known Mac specific issue. The fans going wild is the first warning bell, that would mean there is a significant load and heat gener...

Re: -=ONDES MARTENOT and THEREMIN=-

Both the Ondes and Theremin are monophonic instruments, so try Analog with both the EGs and amp set to legato , set portamento/glide to taste. Experiment with wide pitch bend settings (say =/- 12 semitones or more) as an alternative to portamento. For waveforms, try a sine first (with filter wide o...

-=ONDES MARTENOT and THEREMIN=-

Is there any AL device that can simulate playing on Ondes Martenot and on Theremin? The ondes martenot was invented in 1928 by the French inventor Maurice Martenot. The theremin is named after the westernised name of its Soviet inventor, Léon Theremin (??? ??????), who patented the device in 1928. ...

Re: Going to be getting a new MacBook pro and need some advice

You were warned.

Avoid Apple laptops, if possible.

I have recently bought a $600 Lenovo desktop PC, and it works equally as good as Pro MacBook, and even better: no heat and lagging. It just works without any effort.

Re: Live 10 Stability

Again, your opinions on the current 10 version?

I really don't need it except multiple MIDI editor window, which I really would like to have.

I am on OS X El Capitan. Use so far with no problem 9.7.6.

I see. That's bad. I mean not so bad, but it would be great to have a button || along other buttons.
