Re: PC USERS: What DAW are you using in addition to Live?
I use Abobe Audition for mixing and mastering. Live has everything I need otherwise especially considering Max4Live. Ya, I've got a few complaints as far as Live as a DAW, but hopefully they fill in the gaps as we go...

Re: I dont get people who say live looks old/ugly/out of date
I'm one that wants Live updated a bit. Sure if you spend all your time DJ'ing in session view, its great, but for those of us who spend the majority of their time in Arrangement? Some 3d ,rounded gradient polish to distinguish the mess of music would be welcome. The one thing I miss from Cubase Logi...

Re: NI Studio Drummer track input conundrum
Yes it's a little maddening using multi-out VST's in Live at first. In theory I believe that Live uses outputs 1&2 as the main stereo pair, and then treats the rest as the auxiliary outs thats why you don't see 1&2 in your list. For Kontakt, I set it up as 32 individual outs or 16 stereo pai...

Re: Battery 4 within Live 9
Hey gang, I just made a video tutorial about using VST's in Live drum racks focusing on Kontakt but the same principles apply to any VST drum source. Sorry about the quality, I had a hell of a time wrestling with Camtasia on this one for some reason...

Re: Using the Touch Strip to control Mod wheel in a synth?
Seriously, for a $600 instrument this is very embarrassing as well as frustrating. How hard could it be for the Abe's to code this up in an afternoon?!? Sheesh...For a performance instrument to have a major part of it lacking development is disappointing.

Re: RAM 32 GB useful ?
If you are on a 64 bit machine and are at all interested in running Kontakt and the larger sample libraries out there, absolutely yes. When I made the switch it was like night and day. With a modern quad core and 32 gigs of memory, I no longer have to think about machine resources crapping out while...

Re: Using multiple Push controllers
As a follow up, I asked the Abe's about the possibility of using two Push controllers and the mention of it in their FAQ and this is what they said: Hello there, Thank you for writing to Ableton support and your interest in Push. As much as we would like to encourage you to purchase two Push units, ...

Re: Using the Touch Strip to control Mod wheel in a synth?
PXT-Live Plus has the perfect implementation in my opinion with a choice between a spring loaded modwheel that snaps back to zero, and one that sticks where you stop your finger. Unfortunately, it can't be used at the same time as Push's native note mode as you have to be in User mode to get to it. ...

Re: Back to arrangement ?
Yes there is quite a few things missing in Push like back to arrangement, arrangement navigation, touchstrip re-purposing especially MODWHEEL etc. PXT-Live offers much of this but the problem is you can't use the Modwheel modifications with Push's native note playing ability etc making the experienc...
