Re: Clean your notebooks !
I like to take a powerful shop vac to the vents every month or so to clean it out. It really helps and keeps your warranty in tact.

Re: APC 40 and a Novation SL together? Also APC's CC's?
From what I've experienced the APC uses channels 1-9 and pretty much all the CC's w/in those channels. Not all of them, but random ones so I stay away from those channels. If you set up your Novation to send on another channel (10+) they shouldn't have a problem and yes you can program the novation ...

MIDI/Key Group Tracks Hide & Unhide?
Why can't I MIDI or key assign the hide/unhide function of the group tracks? It should be very simple to implement and would really expand the group tracks feature with the APC40. The way my setup is now I have to toggle over through all of my tracks and can only mix one set of 8 tracks... or sit th...

Re: Which trigger pad?
Well, I went and tried a few out and I think I'm going with the MPD18. Price is pretty much #1. At $99 it is the 2nd cheapest pad, the next being $50 more and it looks pretty sturdy for that price. I also like that it doesn't have any knobs. I have plenty of flexibility w/ my APC40 in that departmen...

Re: Which trigger pad?
you gotta try each out people like different ones and their opinions aren't worth shit to you and your fingers i like the trigger finger for the stiff pads, but people dislike it for the stiff pads so try them out!! Thanks, I've been reading reviews on Harmony which isn't really helping things. I'm...

Re: Quick Qeustion on Midi assignments
How many MIDI controllers do you have? Along w/ that, how many MIDI assignments do you have? If I was using the APC only and this was the only MIDI assigned knob you can easily delete it from the MIDI list before assigning it to a new function. Regardless, it seems that a manual 'do you want to do t...

Which trigger pad?
Ok, so I've got an SL 25, an APC 40, and a Behringer FBC1010, but am seriously lacking any type of drum pad w/ any real use, so I'm coming to the experts to help me w/ my decision. First is the MPD18 http://keyboards-midi.musiciansfriend.com/product/Akai-Professional-MPD-18-USB-MIDI-Pad-Controller?s...

Re: A newb & his APC40...
Thanks a ton for the info, kinda hard to get anything on this product. I think my plan of attack is going to be a 'bank' for each instrument so when I have the shift key pressed I can jump from instrument to instrument. I'll just have some dummy tracks to space it correctly. It will also map easily ...

A newb & his APC40...
So as the title suggests I am a newish electronic musician. I've been playing around w/ hardware loopers and drum machines for a couple years, but just recently came into the DAW and MIDI world. My project is a solo live electronica project where I create the beats on stage and add guitar, bass, MID...

Re: Can someone test. (Remote SL +Ableton)
I use a remote SL, but quit using the automap feature. It never worked quite like I ever expected, so I updated the Live template on my SL and manually program all of the knobs. I know it doesn't help, but the automap frustrated me more than anything.
