It's SO about time!!
This has been the obvious look for a controller for Live. I'm surprised M-Audio hasn't taken their UC-33 and done something like this.
Finally someone gets it right.

well, each pad IS a note. if the pad is empty it will tell you directly what not it is, other wise hover over it and the note will appear in the status bar. so just activate the track for recording and play your keyboard - the drums will play. drum rack mapping in Live 7?
trying to use my faderfox (or UC33 or keyboard) to activate pads in a drum rack..
is this possible? When I try to map midi, it doesn't allow me to select the pads for mapping.
Is it only possible to trigger pads with a pad controller such as a "trigger finger"?
