heh! i thought linux was dying a slow and silent death... less and less people hooking their machines up with it. it was really hot around 2000 in germany. interesting, tho i dont exactly see the need to delve into an os if you have one that FINALLY seems to run stable (windows xp). renoise is a go...

Shifting to LINUX, leaving ableton live....
First at all, let me explain my points : - 99% all time LINUX user (Other 1% is because LIVE on WIN XP) - Does not want to spend $400 on software that does not run on my prefered OS, I prefer spend this money in HARDWARE like MIDI controllers, Audio interfaces, etc - Does not want to spend $2000+ on...

I WANT LINUX SUPPORT
I want linux support and think that many of the paying LIVE users NEED to request this, and i clarify why : 1 - The market is changing, windows is now less than 90% of the market of desktop OS, MACOSX is growing and.......LINUX is growing, ubuntu is a great distro and is changing many minds... 2 - M...

Also, I must mention that I did not notice any issues with Complex mode until I started using it to DJ on soundsystems. Once I heard it loud and proud I started switching back to Beats. I still use Complex if Beats is causing noticeable artifacts in a pad sound or vocals or a long release bassline,...

It's not about your RAM, not about your OS, not about your software configuration and only for a small amount about your audio interface. What really matters is where the sound comes from (THE SPEAKERS!!), and being the most important one you just skipped that. I can hear the difference between the...

last summer i made a huge live set full of warped tracks (aiff/wav/mp3) organised by tempo/genre etc to use as a massive playlist for our venue at shambala and i can honestly say that complex mode served me fine. in fact, i only noticed any weirdness using complex mode when shuffle is introduced. I...

I find Complex significantly affects the punchiness of tracks, and I mix all wav files. Sometimes Complex does sound better than Beats, and I'll use it in that case, but I usually find Beats sounds better. Also, Complex affects the sound even at the unwarped tempo, whereas the other modes do not. T...

Depends on the type of music. I've had mixed results and generally found beats mode to the be the best all-rounder, but it really varies from track to track. What kind of style of music are you warping? I´m warping mostly house, that´s why i think that the perception is quite diferent, house is ver...

"complex" warping mode why not use it??
Hello,
I have read a lot of posts about this topic and personally i never have an issue about using complex mode.
Ok, he use a lot op CPU, BUT, my opinion is IF you have an decent quality MP3(320) or WAV, complex mode is not an issue..
Oh, I´m using live 7 BTW.
Somebody agree??
