Thing for me is that its not just Live that performs better now. Everything performs better with coolbook running.
My CPU just sits on 800mhz unless forced to 2.4 by coolbook...... I had the same problem as the guy who origionally discovered what was going on....

Has anyone heard anything back from Apple about this problem? Its not really acceptable to use a 3rd party program to run your laptops at full tilt all the time just to get the max speed out of it when you need it. Yep. for me its all the time, even when I run a stress test app. THe CPU never goes above 800 unless I set it hard in Coolbook.

Well, Installed coolbook, runing it at the settings suggested my mammalux and now running a project that the CPU was sitting on 50 percent and clipping like shit is running at 15 percent smooth as sile. Dude, you have no idea how grateful I am that you have found the problem, yo uare a fucking legen...

Unfortunatly Apples products arent made with the same quality they sued to be, but if they were then apple would never have taken off the way it has over the last few years becuase thier products would still be too expensive.

Apple stuff is WAY cheaper now, its also made way cheaper....

Im going back to London early next year so selling a couple of my 3 month old bits of kit in favour of a more portable bit of kit, a novation remote25 compact, so I dont have to ship stuff. Im in Melbourne, Australia, both are less than 3 months old, have the receipts from StoreDJ.com, warrantee etc...

Yeah, Im another person with a 17" Santa Rosa Macbook Pro. Its a piece of sh1t. 55 - 60% and everything starts glitching, popping etc really bad with any audio interface, the onboard, all the different firewire ones Ive tried. No idea why but no one is interested in the problem. Apple dont care...
