The Air will throttle much sooner than the Pro, and the Mini won’t throttle at all, just crank the fan. But that all depends on the load.

Not according to the different (audio and video) stress tests on the M1. On Intel, sure.

Has anyone tried running Ableton on the new machines already? I've only seen tests of photo and video editing apps running on Rosetta. None of the YouTubers seem to be testing music software.
