How to identify a missing plugin ?
I had to rebuild my whole system and there is a VST plugin missing which is called "leveler". If I open an old ableton song I get the message: Sorry, could not load plugin "leveler". Any idea which plugin this is? I really cannot remember which plugin I installed with that name.....

Re: [frs]Memory Corruption detected (0x5e)
I cannot use Ableton Live 8.0.9 / 8.1.0 anymore because after Live has started up, it hangs and crashes with the "memory corruption detected" error.
I gave Live an empty VSTPlugins directory to make sure it's not a plugin that crashed live.
Very about that...

Re: Drum Racks Vs. Impulse
I prefer drum racks for the following reasons: - I can see the waveform of the used samples - I can use more than 7 samples - I can easily layer sounds - I can setup different return tracks from the global return tracks of the project (powerful machine required if you use CPU hungry plugins) - Drum ...

Importing Return tracks and master track from a project
Hi there I love the possibility to import audio and midi tracks from another project into the current project via the browser where each ableton project can be expanded to see it's audio and midi tracks. Is it possible to import return tracks and the master track inlcuding their audio plugins? Retur...

How do you setup your return tracks in live?
Hi there I'd like to share some experiences/tips/tricks on how you configure your return tracks in live for a studio setup? My setup is: Return 1: Reverb, small room [Powercore VSS3 or Powercore DRV2] Return 2: Reverb, mid room [Powercore VSS3] Return 3: Reverb, large [Powercore VSS3] Return 4: Reve...

Re: Audio to inactive in Drum Racks
Thanks Keith.
That's a nice solution. I totally forgot the "Pre fader" option. Thanks a lot.

Re: Audio to inactive in Drum Racks
That was my idea, too.
I have done this.
But if I play a MIDI clip in the drum rack, the kick will still be played back in the drum rack.

Re: Audio to inactive in Drum Racks
Thanks for the hints. However, these 2 options may work but it's not the idea of my workflow.
Can anyone tell me why the "Audio to" drop-down menu is inactive in a drum rack channel?

Re: Audio to inactive in Drum Racks
I want to route the whole drum rack to a seperate bus except the kick channel.
Therefore I want to route the kick separately to another track in order to process all the other channels separatey from the kick.

Audio to inactive in Drum Racks
Hi there I have added a drum rack in live 8.0.4. and placed a few samples (kick, snare, hihats) in the rack. This creates a new channel in the session view for each sample. However, the "audio to" drop down menu is inactive in every channel except the main channel of the drum rack. Is this...

More customizable shortcuts in the file browser bar
There are 3 file browser buttons on the left side. Wouldn't it be nice if one could add more shortcuts below the 3 file browser buttons on the left side? I think it would be nice to have shortcuts for organzizing the plugins. Let's say you define the following shortcuts for organizing your plugins: ...

VST EQ with spectrum analyzer
Hi there I am looking for a good EQ plugin that has a spectrum analyzer. Max. price 250 US Dollar. I found the ApulSoft apEQ, but this plugin causes CPU spikes on my i920 system when the analyzer is active. Do you have any recommandations for a good EQ plugin that has a spectrum analyzer? cheers Nico

Re: Re-Scan crashed VST plugin to show it in the device list
It's the ELS Vocoder Demo for Windows.

Opening in other DAW such as FL Studio works fine.

This was my first thought, too.Rinsemeister wrote:Hi,
Preferences / file-folder / re-scan plug ins.
Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, it doesn't help. The plugin does not show up in the list.
