Re: Hmmm... Bitwig studio.
iMaschine (which sucks) and the iMPC2000 app (or whatever the hell they're going to call it) have features sort of like that, but neither are true DAWs. Garageband has iTunes sync as well, but it's not really a pro DAW either. Mw, I hadn't seen that Motu app; I don't see myself ever using DP persona...

Re: To Maschine Or Not To Maschine
In short, warping is a wonderful bit of technology that has the capacity to completely fuck up the feel of a sample that didn't come out of a sequencer/drum machine. In Simpler/Sampler, you can either slice by musical intervals, or you have to warp to be able to set specific slice points. With Masc...

Re: New midi keyboard recommendations?
the arturia minibrute looks nice. I guess I am wondering if something like that can act as a generic midi keyboard (non-sound producing) as well as be used as an analog synth. Never owned hardware and thought maybe I could use this to get me into it with the crossover function. yes it can, just con...

Re: Hmmm... Bitwig studio.
I'd much prefer to see a very robust MIDI/OSC implementation that will allow Bitwig to pair well with everything from a Launchpad, to Konkreet Performer and Lemur for iPad, to controllers that don't even exist yet. Not sure why you think the two are mutually exclusive. To my mind native support for...

Re: Hmmm... Bitwig studio.
^ Basically native support for a companion iOS controller app made by the same company. See, I don't like that. Right now Bitwig's developer team is three guys. If they were to hire another three Obj-C gurus just to do the app, maybe I could get behind that, but having made that kind of commitment,...

In a pinch you can just use the tears. If the other passengers on the hotel shuttle start to get sensitive it's best to ignore them, performance anxiety may result in unpleasant friction.Komodovaran wrote:More lube.

Re: Poll: Who has moved on?
?(-1) = j  I thought that = i . I thought so, too, but then: In contexts where i is ambiguous or problematic j , or the Greek ? (see alternative notations), is sometimes used. In the disciplines of electrical engineering and control systems engineering, the imaginary unit is often denoted by j...

Re: Mixmag - Greatest dance act of all time
I was going to bring that up (even though I find his music to be a bit of a bore) because that thing is fucking awesome as well, and that sort of projector mapping is a much more stunning technical achievement than an LED display, IMO. Here's a short doc about a similar (but less impressive) setup d...

Forecast in Tampa calls for temperatures into the high 70s with moderate UV exposure. You should apply sunscreen (no less than 30 SPF) to any exposed areas and then go fuck yourself.
