Re: AxiomPro Hypercontrol
Still having issues here too, I found a guide on the m-audio site for hypercontrol with Ableton. In it, it says after version 7, Hypercontrol is automatically installed in live and that drivers are not necessary. It shows a diagram of the midi setup in the midi/sync tab in Live preferences. I notice...

Re: Training; Your Thoughts
Harmonic Progression, Where are you at right now? Can you play an instrument? Are you having trouble just coming up with material to work with? Or is it mostly Live itself? You probably learned some stuff on Groove3 about how to work Live9, which ultimately will be reinforced best by using the progr...

Re: 30% off packs
I bough a bunch of packs. Ones that I have been wanting to check out for a while. I got the set of Konkrete breaks, the two Abstract breaks, Microspheres and Monstrosities. The last two were impulse buys (well the whole purchase was because of the sale I geuss ) but the KD and AB I thought ...

Re: Productivity tool: send to Trash
I started a kind of a "megaset" like Tom Cosm, but filled with just loops and clips cropped from jam sessions. It became pretty large and cumbersome to work with and I did go through and delete a bunch of stuff too, which in itself was tedious. So now I'm thinking about leaving that idea b...

Re: AxiomPro Hypercontrol
I'm having an issue with this controller too. The keys respond but the transport controls and all the other function buttons are either not responding or behaving strangely. I hope they fix this in the next update.

Re: Waves Kramer Master Tape plug-in
The name really makes me think of Kramer from Seinfeld, lol. Wonder if it there is any relation to the Kramer from Kramer guitars? Anyway, the wow and flutter function is what I want to play around with on this thing. Does it make your audio sound like your tripping on mushrooms? Throwing it on the ...

Re: Uses for Bit Reduction
Maybe try introducing it by automating it in for just a quick break. For drum variations try the on/off button with settings that don't totally destroy the sample. For other things try automating a gradual increase in the bit reduction at the tail end of a sound or sequence so as it fades out its so...

Vibration pads for monitors, correct positioning, etc...
I went to a trade show the other day at a local supply house for work and there was a stand with the Mason rep and a display. Mason makes vibration damping pads, mounts, hangers (etc...) for mechanical equipment. In his display he had a small unbalanced motor, that, when operating would vibrate the ...

Really wish I would have caught that sale the other day.
Anyway, how do you like to use it?

Re: My guitar pedal board
Sorry for the bump, I wanted to comment on this the other day  Did you ever check out Pro guitar shop? They have all kinds of pedals and a youtube channel with good demos for many of them. I bought a Pigtronix philosophers tone from them that I am happy with. Pigtronix has some other really...

Re: How often do you change your workflow?
I use to always works on arrangements, though I had a more difficult time coming up with good material to use in the arrangement. Now I have evolved a technique for generating more and better ideas for arrangements, but now I spend more time doing that than actually using the ideas in an arrangement...

Re: More creative drum patterns
That's a good idea Panten. But what is a good way to share them? I guess we could render a Wav file, or maybe even a midi file (then we can see what's going on). Or would it be better to share a small set with a few beats? The part I am stuck on the most is how and where to upload to for sharing the...

Re: More creative drum patterns
I also agree with jamming. Use your Mikro and record your jam. Crop out the best parts. I like to use session view for this. Save the original clip of the jam then just Loop and duplicate, then slide (or highlight and Ctrl/Cmd L) the loop brace over to the next pattern and repeat. Quantize and adjus...
