But thats the point. you can do it with live.
I would like to know if the mp3 was just copied over vst-plugin-stream into the cache of maschine or if maschine is able to control the mp3 chop settings

Do you mean a external software for the delay? There are a lot of plug ins you can use. Or you have outboard gear :wink: Don´t want to hurt you but it does not sound that you have a fast computer or soundcard?!? What are you using? I built for my liveact a own tape delay in live with variable feedba...

I would recommend for you the echo audiofire 8 or focusrite saffire pro 40.

There you get many I/Os.

Echo has a bit better AD/DA and very good drivers for all OS.

But what he does doens´t require a maschine.
Just use any (better: velocity sensitive) pad controller like akais lpd, mpd, mpk or without velocitysens launchpad and chop the files.

Do you know how to use the total mix from RME?
its a mixer matrix where you can route every input to every output, including software I/O.
just connect the Is/Os where you want to have it.
I think that RME has a very good reference manual.
