I e-mailed Ableton on this before, for v5. They said plugins do not change to hq for render. Maybe it's different now for v6, but I've not seen that mentioned as a new feature.

dj superflat - I'm sure it is a great method. I appreciate that you seem to be suggesting I'm over thinking this. But, I'm still open to any technical info, or real life experince with this. I'm sure my understanding of phase could use some tweaking. :)
