Re: live quit unexpectedly - always on opening
I was thinking it may have been a memory issue, not cpu issue, but considering you are using 64Bit, should n't be a problem.
Yep, I'd be swapping out the Vsts and see which one is the culprit.

Not much information to go on, but what's your memory usage when playing your set?
Are you using 32 or 64bit Live?
Any external vsts ?

Re: Native Instruments new stems audio file format.
I will be interested in the sound quality of this format. I understand it is similar to having 4x stems in MP4.
This will keep the size of the files down, so will not take up a huge amount of space.
Not sure of the actual quality in kbs. If anyone knows any more detail, please tell.

Use 2 computers. A little extravagant, but frees you up from the constraints of the mega live set approach.

Re: Best way to export clips?
Hi Geoff, This works for me. Depending on the clip, I would usually consolidate the clip before the next step. In Places, I have a folder for my saved audio clips. Create a folder. Click on the sample/clip, then have a look at the clip view. (bottom left) Under the heading SAMPLE, you will see the n...

Re: Traktor S8
Nice review Erik. Wow, sounds great, but a real pity that NI have chosen to lock down any re mapping. For such a progressive company, this is pretty backward. I would love to own one of these units, but will have to wait. I pretty much have built the S8 in modular units, with a Z1+Z2 plus an F1+X1. ...

Re: Traktor S8
But $1,200 kind of pushes it out of hobbyist range unless you're rolling in money. If you're more of a producer then that $1,200 is probably better spent elsewhere. I think the cost of NI's DJ controllers are pretty reasonable compared to a 'Pro' setup. In Australia, a Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus will c...
