Apparently you came across what is called 'Nudging' in Live 5. You might want to read the f****** manual for details, before ranting on.

ha, what a day!!!

No, I'm not on an Apple Compute anymore, but about Jobs' announcement I am really excited... I was using MS-OSs from NT to XP for stability and I was lucky to be able to use Intel processors for performance with these OSs. I had my expieriences with Mac OS 8 to 10 as well, and let me tell here, that...

Quite happy...

... with the LaCie 250, USB 2.0. But issues with USB hogging your busses might be annoying, when you reach your CPU's limits. BTW LaCie is the most reliable I tried up to now. Had Maxtor, Seagate, Hitachi, Firewire 400 and USB 2.0, readily built and self built, all did say goodbye the one or the oth...

why do apple dominate in theA/V and graphics industries? firstly - stability. Most studio clients through the 90's, and by that I mean the 'producer' who books all the gear and the engineers in, their only experience of win machines was '95 or '98 ... which redefined poor stability. That kind of se...

Why does this thread even exist? It just breeds segregation and hatred between users as everything that has been said in this thread has been said and debated on countless other threads Well this thread doesn't exist out of itself. It's like any of those are: Don't start talking about dicks! There'...

Easily done, mate. Do you know who owns Virtual PC. OK, question answered! Despite this simple explanation there are working emulators for both - old Mac OS (Very reliable and stable OS - dream on!) and Mac OSX (BSD really was a good choice, but OSX is far from being more mature than *ices or WinXP)...

Oh, yeah, Centrinos really are fast, heat and so fan noise is no problem at all. I am working with my Vaio A197-XP (1.8GHz Dothan!, 1Gb RAM) almost exclusively now, the good old 3GHz DAW of mine only serves UAD1 effects and files. When on stage or in rehersal or in even more complex situations like ...

Re: Linux version

I know this probably will never be done, but i'd really like to use Ableton Live on linux. Windows XP is stable enough *most of the time* I can't see the point in using some POSIX for giving LIVE more stability. It has shown to be extremely reliable on several different WindowsXP installations for ...

LIVE does not support HT, as far as my 3GHz is concerned. Actually I have to turn it off (at least with the process management) to get decent performance and avoid crackling with ASIO drivers and graphics.

I'm looking for some decent information on this topic from the abletons...
