you can get a similar effect by using the clip's volume envelope and loop the envelope or copy and paste the envelope where you need it (i.e., wherever the kick drum is). works for me when i am working in Live and i'm too lazy to do it with hardware. not quite the same flavor as real sidechaining, ...

hi! my mic is directly plugged into my soundcard (esi juli@).
its latenzy is set to 256 samples but even if i set it to 128 or less there is latenzy in live. how can i get rid of this?

at friday night i braught my pc with my ableton live sets to an audio engineer. his first comment was that i was using the volume controlls totally wrong. i allways have the master fader at 0 db and mix down all the individual tracks, so that they allmost reach 0 db but dont go any further. he meant...

press the little 'D' near the master fader, now type in or drag the track delays under each track . really PDC should be sorting this out for you and I would be suprised if it isn't. Have you got PDC turned on? what is pdc? I would expect it is a phase issue i dont think, so since i comew close to ...

this might be a crazy idea but i'll just throw it out there. if the shift you need is that small, maybe you could just insert some utility plugs in a line or something, just to take a few samples to send the signal through the chain. perhaps by recording the audio of each track, you could then anal...

im searching for an audio to midi plugin for live which will translate signals form a microphone into midi data, which then will be able to be recorded or be used to play a vsti synth according to my voice.
