Hi Yousefk, Not sure I completely understand your issue, but what I do is just use my cheap 18i8 Scarlett for live stuff. That's it. Lots of ins and outs. Not the best sound card for sure but does what I need it to just fine, and its small, lite, and cheap. Not sure why you have to take your own amp...

How do I set groove by default when recording a new midi clip?

Every time I record a new midi clip the groove is always set to none, how do I change it to default to a specific groove?

I think it's a more power issue, but I guess it would make more sense to get a 3.0 hub.

Yeah the reason I thought of getting the 2.0 hub is because a good quality one is very cheap.

So for the first issue I would maybe add a return track, along with your existing setup, and then turn up the send from the MIDI track, could be a work around. Or maybe try putting SL on the return track and turning up the send again, sorry not familiar with SL though. Perhaps for the second issue, ...

I want to be able to assign a midi note from a drum rack to turn a device on or off. Eg, note C1 will be a snare drum, C#1 will be an empty pad but C#1 midi note will be able to turn a device on or off when I press that empty drum pad. Maybe a MIDI translator would work?
