Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

Maybe a bad way to enter in for not having post before but here's what I have to ask. Why do people keep saying things like competition is a good and much needed thing? Historically the best movements have come from someone doing something different not copying or cloning. Very simple. Since you ju...

Re: Komplete 8 ultimate

Go with komplete by itself. Also it always goes on half price in the summer!! You can buy better sample libraries fro other people. Komplete is a great way to compliment live because for me I don't like the suite instruments. If you perform on a laptop ultimate is going to take up a ton of space. Al...

Re: noob needs help choosing APC40 or launch pad?

This http://lividinstruments.com/hardware_ohm64.php The LP has a usb 1.1 port, and struggles when you do lots of midi routing. apc is solid but only works with live, if you get it go with Hanz script which is gree livid stuff is rock solid and it works with different software. The way to go. The apc...

You lose MFL while in rewire!

but won't replace the software I use in my work overnight ;) But those that want to be totally hyped and think this will immediately replace Live for them... well good luck to you (whether you respect my opinion or not!) and I hope you aren't too disappointed. There's obviouly a good chance we'll m...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

The funny thing is that the modern rhodes is more expensive and much heavier and the action blows. damn and the specs looked good, even midi out. problem with used ones is the maintenance. Everything In It's Place by Radiohead might be my favorite Rhodes tune. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrpGhEV...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

I can't play keys for siht but would LOVE to get a Rhodes of that caliber. a cat could walk on the keyboard and it would sound amazing. that guy's got a great touch. The funny thing is that the modern rhodes is more expensive and much heavier and the action blows. And they look so slick with the wu...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

just thinking here, there are alot of les paul and fender strat copies out there. its hard to believe that the makers of these copies are getting sued. I think part of the *problem* here is that people genuinely expected something rather more interesting and innovative from Bitwig, not a derivative...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

the crossfader is huge! And still have not seen the 8 macro setup either

There are going to be lots of things that bitwig does not have that Live will and same goes for BW. Time will tell

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

more innovative (implementation of M4L or the Bridge anyone?) That's what I was thinking. Ableton/Serato really let the side down with the frankly pathetic The Bridge implementation (IMO). DJs were really disappointed with what it turned out to be, after all the hype. If Bitwig can do the whole pro...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

As much as this does indeed look very exciting (a browser with meta data would make my life a LOT easier), have to say I'm a wee bit saddened by the reaction on here. So many people seem to be sounding the death knell for Live - the software has played a massive role in the music and careers of so ...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

in reference to them taking Ableton's code... i'm pretty damn sure that during the hiring process it was discussed that Ableton would be keeping what was developed on their time/money. seriously guys... that's what I would think. Also most companies make you sign a non compete clause. You kno...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

The modular setup is pretty different. You could argue that it is similar to Max but since they don't have to take another program and fit it in, I would think that it makes for better stability (hopefully) I say don't knock until we try it I meean it is designed by the guys who helped make the prod...
