Re: LAUNCHPAD - Day 1
a quick way to get round any colourblindness issues is to set follow actions for each clip to play again... set the follow action to the length of the loop and away ya go. active clips will flash constantly while playing... it isnt perfect but it helps me out alot as i really cant see any difference...

Re: Buying a MacBook - would like some hear opinions :)
after 6 years of pc laptops, including my last machine a laptop built by a pro audio company (inta audio in the uk) that never worked right. it hated firewire and overheated... turned out i was actually sold a machine as new which had a rebuilt cpu with old dried out thermal pad still stuck to half ...

Re: Zebra or Twin
the twin sounds alot more of a traditional subtractive than the zebra, both compliment each other quite nicely i find.. i much prefer the twin's ui as well, its abit weird at first, buts really clear once ya used to it. the zebra on the ohter hand for me is very fiddly - as everything is in tiny box...

Re: The "I'm spending my APC-40 money elsewhere" thread!
yeah good idea with the colour coded clip launching on the usb keyboard. dont think 4 clips is enough tho - 8 would be minimum i think dont think its possibble to remap the keys on the fly - they would be mapped to slots so u would have to move the samples around in a live set... unless u have alot ...

Re: Akai APC40 V2 or Future Releases
i dont see why it needs an audio interface... i'm vary wary about buing any all in one kinda box. an apc and my little audiofire2 would be more than enough. for me anyway. i wouldnt like to think what the cost of a multi in and out card - with preamps would add to the apc cost. maybe if you could bu...
