Re: Any way to collaborate with my friend (Live 8 to Live 9)?

You could render out stems for tracks and send .wav files that should easily drop into an existing arrangement. It won't give your friend the ability to edit synth patches, and anything else that's a VST - but you could always export the MIDI for that if your friend has the same plugins and get the...

Any way to collaborate with my friend (Live 8 to Live 9)?

Hi guys, I was wondering something. I just uninstalled Live 8 (regular), as I upgraded to Live 9 Suite, and I'm wondering, is there a way to collaborate with a friend of mine who still has Live 8? I know while I've been in the Live 9 beta, there were a couple times I opened up Live 8 and tried to op...

Re: Happy with Live 9?

To answer the question, yes I'm happy with Live 9. It's much more stable than Live 8 was for me, and it's faster. I like the new piano roll editor, and yes, I use it a lot. Honestly, I hate piano roll editors and much prefer to edit in a musical staff, but I realize that that feature will probably n...

Re: Happy with Live 9?

i stopped using l9 when it was still in beta and now i switched to studio one, so yeah, i'm happy (with S1 which pretty much shits and laughs on live on all occasions). only thing i'm missing with S1 is a modular build-your-own-thingamajig-thing that is M4L but i'm not fucking handing over another ...

Re: Will these packs be for 64 bit at any point?

At the moment, we can't say for sure. For now, they're 32-bit only. Thanks for the info. Here's to hoping that they get converted eventually. Agreed. When I was beta testing, I freakin' loved the Kasio pack. I mean, I guess I could have the 64 bit and 32 bit Ableton versions installed, but that see...

Re: Does audio to midi work for anyone?

I also have Melodyne and my first attempts at Live pitch2midi show it to be inferior. However, I'm going to keep working with it, I'm sure I can tame it a bit and having it inside Live makes it faster to get parts from singing to MIDI. I tried a piano clip and got reverse results. Ableton did bette...

Yeah, of the (decent) amount of VSTs I have, only GuitarRig 5 had any issues with jbridge. Otherwise my 32 bit VSTs ran pretty good in my 64 bit Live9.

Will these packs be for 64 bit at any point?

Does anyone know if these will soon be available for the 64 bit version of Live and M4L?

Re: EIC 2

Hmm, do you know if this really applies to all EIC2 sounds? I was doing a lot of beta testing, and unless I just somehow overlooked it to a huge extent, I don't remember the EIC2 choir sounds (which were pretty good) being included in any packs for Live9. I can't recall exactly what the ones were th...

Re: Who has dared to follow their Ableton passion?

@sowhoso - I don't think it is ridiculous at all to ask something like this on a forum. Getting the opinions of 20-50 random people who might or might not have knowledge about the lifestyle you're thinking about is a good way to get a lot of different opinions that one wouldn't be able to get from p...

Re: "Box sold separately." How's that work, with an upgrade?

I had emailed Ableton this same question a while back. If you got Live 9 through the current upgrade offer, than that upgrade offer is for the electronic version of Live 9 only . But, if one wants the manual or box, since the upgrade offer wasn't for the boxed version, then you will just need to buy...

Re: Beta testers ! Is it stable ?

It's a powerful computer... tell me about it...my system has the same exact specs except it has the non-K cpu have you tried the 8 beta? pretty stable for me anyway, great to hear this Nope, I haven't. Actually, RIGHT about the time I had enough of Live 8 crashing and decided to give the Live 8 64 ...

Re: Beta testers ! Is it stable ?

The increase in stability from Live 8 to Live 9 was one of the main reasons I ended up getting Live 9. The beta has been solid as a rock for me through who knows how many dozens of hours of use. There was a huge bug between Live 9 and a VST I was using, and it was the VST that was the issue. Other ...

Re: Audio Interface Suggestions

In your budget I would look in to tha scarlett, the apogee duet and motu hybrid, maybe even the motu track 16, the focusrite forte or the rme babyface. In order of preference 1.- babyface 2.- Track 16 3.- Forte 4.- Duet 5.- Scarlett Yeah, the MOTU Track 16 is a very cool design and seems like a goo...
