Re: AI Drummer
How complex do you need it to be? Do you need fills and nuances or ok with just a 4/4 beat? I'd be interested in answers to this but do expect a backlash of answers like "Just program the beats yourself" There are a whole plethora of clips and kits available already at your disposal (presu...

Re: Euclidean Sequencer Pro doesn't work
Can confirm, I'm on version 2.1, Live Suite 12.0.1 and is running just fine. I'm using it fine in front of a Drum Rack, and Meld instrument, and even Playbox plugin. You just need to make sure it's sitting before our instrument and that you've activated a voice, made sure it's triggering a note that...

Re: a way to automate transport "Record"
Ok I understand your problem now that you've explained it well. My guess is that M4L would be the way to go. You could quite easily create your own patch to do this or there's this one (but it costs a few dollars) https://maxforlive.com/library/device/8675/automate-arrangement-record Video explainin...

Re: a way to automate transport "Record"
Then the Punch Out is what you need if you just need it to turn record off for All.
The Punch Out Switch looks like a little _/` symbol.
Check the manual it should explain better than I can.
btw Punch out doesn't work if you have loop turned on in the Arrangement View

Re: a way to automate transport "Record"
I've been giving the new Performer devices a go in the Arrangement view and they work perfectly for setting up record regions on the Arrangement view.
What in particular wasn't working for you?

Re: a way to automate transport "Record"
Isn't that what the Punch In and Punch Out buttons are for or am I misunderstanding what you're doing? If you set the Record/Loop end brace to where you want to stop recording it should automatically stop recording into your armed tracks. *edit* I just realised after hitting submit that if you have ...

Live 12 - Find clip in Browser?
You used to be able to click on the name of a clip in the Clip Title Bar and it would take you to the location in the Browser.
That no longer works so I was wondering if anyone knows how to do that now in Live 12?

Clip View surprise on Push2
After purchasing Live 12 I accidentally pressed the clip button twice on Push 2 and what a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting to see the session view on the Push screen.
Has it been like this for a while? I'm wondering what else has slipped under my radar.

Live 12 - Premature Looper excitement
So I get myself all worked up for a moment when I heard the Live12 announcement, in particular the words Arrangement Looper. My excitement was sadly short lived when I realised that it was for looper points in the Arrangement view. Does anyone else think that a persistent window that shows the statu...

Re: Push 3 "Arrangement View" Concept/Mockup
It's great to see this and would be a really welcome addition to Push 2 & 3.
This is entirely possible already with the Live API as Stray achieved Arrangement editing from the PUSH 1.
Let's hope Ableton implement this soon.

Re: Is development on previous Push models abandoned?
Fingers crossed some of that Stray magic can seep in. My guess is that it's a fine balance between innovative ideas and keeping the product 'pure'. *edit* Just one tiny example of this. In PXT-Live you could cycle your drum rack pads to a pitch mode so that each pad could be played in a melodic way....

Re: Is development on previous Push models abandoned?
My wish is that Stray comes back and really moves Push playability forwards. If anyone used PXT-Live + will know what I mean. It had so many neat 'modes' that weren't just for recording/production but also had a suite of tools for live manipulation. It even had some really in-depth functions to cont...
