By traditional I meant the typical analog modelling thing, and since analog doesn't have look-ahead... there are analog "look ahead" compressors/limiters - mostly used for broadcast or record cutting on variable pitch lathes where the lathe will cut tighter grooves with quieter passages t...

the supreme irony is that in general used hardware has never been cheaper....as people trip all over themselves for the latest greatest software some excellent gear goes for dirt in the used market.

2 - The mix buss in Live seems to lose definition once too many tracks are playing, regardless of how sculpted they are with eq's. To my ears, it just sounds better when mixed in PT, despite the many thoeries posted here that "this cannot be"....whatever. I hear the difference right away ...

oh, the older TI's and some aluminum PB's can get quite hot - i can feel for the guy, i've had an old 500 mHz Ti on my lap for a while and sometimes i wonder whether i'm gonna be able to have kids someday!

i just did a live show a few days ago where we utilized Supatrigga in the same way the original poster described - triggering 4th/8th note repeats at any point in the song. the way i set it up was: 2 instances of supatrigga across the master buss, granularity set to 4 on the first, 8 on the second o...

for a good read, those so inclined should check out Greg Palast's book "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy". factual, funny but not in an over-the-top Micheal Moore kind of way. it's a mind blower. anyways, greetings from sunny Florida, what with the new paperless touch screen voting machine...

strange problem re: clips/.asd on another computer

i've been doing some editing of tunes to be played live - tracks cut up into typical intro/main/outro DJ friendly format for a friend of mine. once i've corrected each section and placed the appropriate warp markers in place, i consolidate each section into a new clip with appropriate name, loop, co...

Think you mean Impulse, not Simpler...other than the two end slots I don't think you have that functionality in full yet...it's a cinch in Battery too. If you're real desperate you could probably do a crude workround using the sounds in audio clips set to trigger and legato absolutely right, i mean...

maybe i missed seeing this in the manual, but...

does Simpler have a mono mode for individual sample slots? what i mean is, when triggering the next note in a slot, the sound that was already triggered is cut off and the sound plays from the beginning again. for instance, if i had a slot with a ride cymbal or 808 sub bass, i would want any new eve...
