I'm having great fun with this on my guitar. Very Hank Marvin. Just can't stop myself picking out old tunes by the Shadows.

My guess is that you are recording just the MIDI data via the USB connection.

By default Live will play this back on MIDI channel 1. Try changing the MIDI channel in the drop down selector in the output routing area for the track.

By convention drum sounds are often found on channel 10.

Not sure I'd say it was synaesthesia. That's more a case of actually SEEING the colours when you hear something. This is more a case of association. I'm the same to be honest. I think we it stems from using terms light "bright" for high frequencies. Read a book by a neurologist who specia...

I often do sound for my mates band at gigs/rehearsals and got some excellent results recording them on my Presonus Firepod Usually the vocals and guitars are going through the PA + maybe a mic on the bass drum. I record these direct from the desk using the individual channel sends. This uses up 5 ch...

Sounds like you might have a form of synesthesia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia - which is something I always found fascinating. though I never experienced it myself. On the subject of furniture, you reminded me of the track by Horslips - which influenced me greatly at the tender age of 14...

This looks lovely - thanks for the heads up. The best thing about the original copycat was its wonky sound. If this comes close I'll love it to death. To be fair, I think that the Roland Space Echo is a more well know name universally, and also was technically superior to a Copicat, which was regard...

My vaio laptop used to suffer from the old snap crackle and pop if I pushed the latency too low. With the help of DPC latency checker and a bit of trial and error I discovered that disabling the following devices fixes it. Hopefully some of them will apply to your system too. Microsoft ACPI-Complian...

No practical use for this contraption, but pretty friggin' cool nontheless.
