Re: Louder Headphone Mix?
you could use aux sends to create diff headphone mix for different performers, i dod that everytime i'm recording someone else than myself or when recording more than 1 person Could you explain this process? I don't understand Sends very well yet. Let's pretend there's 3 tracks: one for the instrum...

Louder Headphone Mix?
Is there some way, within Live, to adjust the monitor level of an individual track, independent of the volume fader? Say you have a vocalist recording, and he's listening to the mix through headphones. He wants to hear his voice as he records - so you turn on Monitoring on the track. How do you cont...

Re: Where To Buy Reason 3?
I used Reason 4 for years. Lost my disc - hence looking for old versions. Been down that road. My Reason 4 was a Guitar Center Employee version , and Propellerhead doesn't honor this version - CD key only, no online registration allowed. Ok. I don't see how I could have ever misunderstood you. :rol...

Re: Where To Buy Reason 3?
Just use the link Dean provided and you can use Reason 4 all over again for $33. If you registered your version of Reason 4, then it's still on the website. Just log in, grab your old registration number and you'll be good to go as soon as you get your replacement disc. Also, when you install Reaso...

Re: Where To Buy Reason 3?
I used Reason 4 for years. Lost my disc - hence looking for old versions. Interestingly, 6 months or so ago I did a Google Search for Reason 3 and found vendors selling it for $50, and Reason 4 for $150. I figure heck, Reason is great but I don't use it THAT much, I do like it occasionally, so I'd b...

Re: Is My Interface Doomed?
If it is a hardware issue it is possible that some capacitor has gone bad but it is way more likely to be a poor connector. Try using a different connector to plug into your soundcard. Try putting a little De-Oxit D5 (or other switch cleaner) on a jack plug and then thrusting it in and out into the...

Re: Is My Interface Doomed?
This might be a good time to ask - potentially a new thread - what are some solid recording interfaces, a step or two above the Fast Track Pro? I care WAY MORE about vocals than recording instruments. And my styles are Pop, Dance, Hip Hop, RnB - no Rock, Punk, Metal, etc. Home studio, vocal area in ...

Re: Is My Interface Doomed?
That interface was doomed the day it came out. great response. perhaps you should consider working in tech support? really seems like you would be an (ass)ett. Sorry man, hands down I hear more complaints about that card than any other. It's not even close, and it's something that's been going on s...

Re: Loop Markers
Is there any way to set the length of your loops as you record them? All the clips I record have a default length of 2 bars. Even when I record 8 bars (in clip view), the loop markers default to 2 bars. This is of course before I tell it to loop, so initially the clip will play out for all 8 bars.

Re: Is My Interface Doomed?
Think so? I wonder if I should start shopping around for interfaces. I don't want to buy anything on a whim, but I do have clients coming into my studio 2-3 times a week, a working interface is pretty important......

Re: NI Komplete or something else?
The only person I know that Komplete had this to say when I asked him about it: "there's too much stuff and I didn't really like what I installed". However, I absolutely love the MM Scarbee Bass (comes in Komplete). If I had 500 to burn on music gear, I'd get really nice monitors and monit...

Is My Interface Doomed?
I have an M Audio Fast Track Pro to record vocals. The past couple days it has been erratic - I'll be recording, then weird things happen. Sometimes the input level changes to really quiet or really loud. Sometimes static gets added into the recordings, static that hasn't ever been there before. I'l...

Loop Markers
My loop markers are moving. When I create a clip (like a breakbeat sample or guitar line), it will play all the way through and stop at the end, like it should. When I click on "Loop", to loop the clip, it only loops half. The end markers jump from literally the end of the clip (where they...
