oh, that's good...djgroovy wrote:Here's one i discovered this week.
On the clip view for an audio file, above the edit and save buttons there's the file name.
If you click it, the browser opens up, in the location of that file.
Quite handy sometimes.

Re: (embarrassingly) simple question:
You are gonna need a software like Bome's Midi Translator, to do a MIDI-to-keystroke mapping. Why SHIFT+TAB not convenient?

Re: compressor on return track
That is correct. I have also attached a .als file where you can see how I have set the whole thing up using a rack. Basically, the rack is on the first return with 2 chains, the first with a utility plugin with the Left and Right phase inverted (invert preset) and the second with a sidechain activat...

Re: Fixing Warp markers for all your clips to related audio
Hmmm...Live 8, on the browser go to Library->Grooves, find the "Quantize" folder, there you will find some presets(4 Quantize.agr, 8 Quantize.agr, etx), drag n drop one of those to your audio files, never tried it but it could work...

If I understand correctly, you probably mean SHIFT+TAB.bharrower wrote:Great, thanks!
One other thing, is there a way of assigning a couple of buttons to switch between the session view and your effects view?
Cheers

Re: Pan effects without panning Send channel?
2. to build a true stereo reverb with two independent inputs use a rack with two chains of the reverb, place a utility before each reverb and set one to "left" input and the other one to "right". Place a second utility after the reverb and pan one to the left and the other to th...

Re: Pan effects without panning Send channel?
Until something changes in Live though, my original workaround in the second post of this tread, of creating 2 Return tracks will work. It kinda sucks since there's only 12 Returns and if I'm doing heavy mixing I can max that out easily (a couple 5-point spreads will do that in no time). Isn't what...

Re: I realized part of the problem (but no great solutution)
Protools has a pan on the effects send, Live doesn't. I'm able to mimic old consoles that didn't have stereo sends by doing the following: - Create 2 Sends, One with Reverb panned hard left, another with a copy of the same reverb (i.e. the same settings) panned hard left. - Use two sends on the aud...

Can't you just stick a utility plugin with width to 0% and bounce?jlgrimes wrote: One of my pet peeves with Live is that you really can't Bounce to mono (unless you export).

You don't need to do that, just copy and paste with the lock icon on(orange), that's it.enTRAP AG wrote:You need to send each automated parameter into its own automation lane (the + in the bottom right of the track).

Yeah, just right click on the automated parameter on the particular effect that you have used and select "Show Automation" or "Show Automation in New Lane".
