Do dark skins work better? For example, can you see drum names in the midi editor?

Reviewers say that JBL 305P are best bang for buck monitors. Not as popular as the ones you mention. I got the JBL's and they have great range and evenness for the price. Sounds sort of grindy, but that could be due to the fact that mine are standing on a thin plastic table.

I hate both grey and orange. I'd never move to orange. I like Studio One for its songwriting features and ability to have a few songs open at once, but haven't moved over yet. Not sure what I'm waiting for. Maybe waiting to see if they make Ableton v10 significantly better. Doubt it.

In the meantime, I guess the workaround is to create a new track and drag down the clips you want to change together, then select them all in the usual way and do your edits.
