Re: Automating track delay
In arrangement view, with everything open on the right hand side, one of the columns is for delay on each track. You can go plus or minus on this to get it as you wish, though I'm not sure you can alter that throughout the timeline

Re: confused on headroom
I'd be tempted to make the room in the mix and leave the master for general comp/limiting/EQ tweaks when you're finishing off. You can still ease down volume automation as a whole on the individual track by selecting the automated bit and clicking 'expand automation' (I think, can't remember and not...

Re: Mixing songs with extreme temp differences
If you're mixing the 97 one into the 142 one you could loop the last bar/half bar/ etc. of the 97 dropping it down to 71 and then mix the 142 over the top. It's a smaller quicker transition to make the first one half speed than match it up and it could be crossfaded as the tempo of the first comes d...

Re: Mastering Tools... Whats your favorites?
Pretty much use Live's own tools thus far, though I have a hankering for some Fabfilter stuff as I've used some of their gear before and various reviews are positive. I too like Live's Analogue Warmth mastering string, and have adapted it's setting to suit my needs, adding in a limiter to prevent cl...

Re: my UFO sighting
ive seen the Ancient Aliens a few times, they use some pretty twisted logic and cite inability to prove something false as proof its true...mostly i find it entertainment and a touch of world history...interesting for a few minutes, but hardly convincing ^^^ This. You do get some see some lovely pl...

Re: my UFO sighting
I've recently been watching reruns of the Ancient Aliens series on Youtube, originally on the History Channel. It's a healthy mix of 'that makes sense', 'I can see what you're getting at' and 'what planet are you on?'. Well worth a watch if you've an open mind on such things

Certainly some interesting jobs going down, more of a spread than I expected. Simmerdown > your stuff is pretty cool, I'm a fan :) I'm an IT Operations Analyst working in mainframe, UNIX and Windows for a major energy company. We do shift, which isn't so bad, and it pays the mortgage. I also run a b...

Re: New song up
Liking the improvements to the synths, the sound is coming along nicely. Still think the cymbols are a bit harsh and the vocal seems somewhat out of place

Re: New song up
Agree with the above, nice track but the top end in the second part is a bit much, especially the cymbal crashes. I take it they're panned hard left aswell, i wouldn't put them right out there without anything on the right side to balance, maybe sweep them 10 to 20 left. It's tricky keeping things t...

Now that stuff is impressive. I can imagine it would be quite a trip if you'd popped something beforehand
