Re: best use of phaser EVER

It's tape flanging, syncing 2 tape recorders, then working the vari speed on one, or, pressing down the tape reel flange (hence the name). Because one of the decks slips ahead AND behind in time there comes a point where a lot of frequencies cancel out and you get a very deep "dip" in the...

Re: Amazing work by a very talented man

The piano riff is just breathtaking. Perfectly placed too, I must admit it took me a while to realise he's also done the music. I really hope he gets some deserved recognition for his work, you have to be plain nuts to attempt to surf those spots let alone just swim around with a camera you can onl...

Amazing work by a very talented man

This guy (Mickey Smith) not only shot all of this short film but edited it and did the music. It's a crime that somebody with this much talent and courage still doesn't really get paid enough to earn a good living from what he does, even with sponsors like Relentless using his work for promotion of ...

Re: best use of phaser EVER

I wonder why it doesn't seem to work that well using dsp, I don't think I've ever heard a phaser plugin that really works as good as the old fashioned method, certainly not the Live one.

Nice tune btw.

 Yeah, I've never paid so much for something that's made me feel so dumb.

+1 on some icebraker tutorials, they could call it Max 4 Live 4 the terminally stupid.

Re: "locking" m4l devices

Does this mean that a runtime of M4L is in the pipeline now? I wouldn't be surprised. I really don't want to throw any negativity into the M4L pot because I truly think it's the most exciting development in electronic music for quite a while. I really thought I'd be off the starting blocks with it ...

Re: Good FX racks in SUITE 8 to run my electric guitar through?

It's worth trying Voxengo's excellent free Boogex plugin before spending anything I recon, it has some really nice cabinet convolution impulses included. I use it all the time in preference to my rack herdware. It might be all you need.

This is a great tool, thanks hugely for sharing.

I wish there were some way to isolate Max LFOs from the undo history, as soon as you start using any of them in this you completely lose the ability to undo anything, I really love the lfos on this too.
