Re: Tutorials
Check the M4L Building Tools pack, in the lessons > API Navigation Tools folder.
Make sure to study the LOM too.
I've made a lot of devices designed to add shortcuts, you can find them here.

Re: Shortcuts to the level of Logic
The shortcuts for piano roll/envelopes are alt+1 and alt+2 You can keymap most of Live's UI elements. There's a shortcuts list in the user guide. If you need more, like shortcuts that'll work on the currently selected track, check this M4L device. You might want to check my other devices, are most o...

Re: Howto: Automation Overdub in Arrangement View?
If you have M4L, then this device has an auto-arm option (which can be quickly de/activated with a shortcut)

Re: Record Arm on when selecting a track?
Auto-arming is a feature which is part of my Futility m4l tool device... and it can be de/activated straight from the device......... which is way handier than using the Options.txt

Yep.Christian_R wrote: ↑Sat Dec 17, 2022 10:32 amAre these synths build in with too much stereo in the factory preset
If you have M4L, here's a free multibands stereo widener that is 100% mono compatible.
And if you have a few coins to spend on a top notch mono-compatible crazy "3Dizer", check this one.

Re: Shortcut to quickly open the "Drum Rack" Ableton 11
Yep you can do it if you have MaxForLive, check here Hey! I just bought it but it doesn't let me add a Drum Rack, just audio effects The solution is in the user guide: you need to drag a device's default preset (or any preset) ".adg" file into LoadeR, not the Drum Rack device itself

Re: DiP (Device Insert Preference) - define where new devices are added in the chain
Oh, really? Thing is, I added this feature to my LoadeR device as I discovered the call in the LOM (crazy how there's always something "new" to find in here even though you already read it 30 times). So, it was really tempting to make a simple free device out of this. Simple things are som...

DiP (Device Insert Preference) - define where new devices are added in the chain
Hey there, I just published a new free and very simple but quite handy M4L device: DiP This M4L device lets you set where new devices/plugins will be added into the chain, relative to the currently selected device, when double-clicked to be loaded from the Browser. It works as a global preference, a...

SnapShooter - The universal Variations control that Live is missing
L11 introduced Rack's Variations. It's an awesome feature, but Ableton didn't make it user-friendly, rendering it almost unusable. SnapShooter , a maxforlive device, is solving this by giving you key/midi shortcuts to control the currently selected Rack's Variations . Instead of mapping every single...
