Using multiple Samplers inside a rack isn't a limitation by any means, if you ask me. no, given how easy the keyzone thing is, it's so straightforward - and non CPU hungry it's just a different approach You don't get the point do you? Racks are not a "feature" of Sampler. Any soft instrum...

I dream of a day where my ableton devices will have the ability to save a midi ctrl preset instead of re programming it every time!!! because of this limitation... with live 5 my template set was a set w 16 tracks mixer mapped to my EZ...

Just drag 8 operators (or more  )...in a rack....
map the key zones to your liking for each one....
make some FM drum sounds....
map them MACROS...(this is where you can really get creative!!!)
...AND GET DOWN!!!!

peace.

LIKE THE SAMPLER ALOT

would not pay 200$ for it...

it's an awesome instrument... (I managed to get unbelievable sounds out of it LOVE THE OSC )
But I guess I can live without it....
(something I could never say about OPERATOR which helps me keep on living...)

I agree it is confusing .... but writing your routings down aint such a bad thing when you can see how monstrously complex it can get now ... also with the added ROUTING OPTIONS which people hav'nt been talking about alot in the threads but contribute to live's added flex. and complex. when I sit do...

It's not a workaround. It's not like you're handling multiple vst's. You're handling mulitple integrated devices. Which makes a stack of Samplers one device with a lot of options. The key/velocity mapping is handled by the instrument rack that contains multiple devices. Which can be ANYTHING. You c...

I don't think that live 6 sounds better than 5.2. but I think everything is a lot smoother -ie dragging effects etc.. and I think it handles multiple outputs better... but it still doesnt handle 3rd party plugs as well as 5.2 (lives built in stuff is so awesome I rarely drag a VST/i in these days......

oh and I forgot...

- A VIDEO TRACK/TRACKS WOULD BE SOOOO NICE....

That would actually make live superior to any DAW out there...

What can I say ... I'M JUST A DAYDREAMER....
