i got an mp3 w/ the pad upgrade and in my opinion it was significantly better than w/o.
a little pushier and no chances of a single pad going out..i didn't like the feel of the single pads

Re: Fanger drumming...
nice! thanks for sharing...i do something similar to that w/ the bottom half of my launchpad..the top half for controlling clips..makes live beat making really fun..not velocity sensitive, but i have enough sample space to use alternating samples and get the effect

changing the size of the launchpad's "red border"
so I notice how depending on whether you have the APC or launchpad connected, the size of the border changes. is this something written in their automap script (editable)? or is it deeper than that? I ask because I've reprogrammed the bottom half of my launchpad to play drum racks and other instrume...

Re: Transpose all clips in drum pad
putting a pitch device wouldn't work since that would just trigger a different sample..i think copy value to siblings is a good idea

Re: Can i assign a midi button to increase tempo by 1BPM?
you can do it by mapping the tempo fine adj. to the value of a relative encoder (CC 102, Mode: Relative don't remember which one...) then reprogram two buttons (bomes, midiyoke) to send the encoder's CC messages (CC 102 value = 1 for down, CC 102 value = 65 for up, might be the other way around..onc...

Re: A delete clip button: The one thing the launchpad is missing
Bome's hooks it up w/ delete, duplicate, global quantize etc etc! i got mine setup w/ a shift button (holding session) and with all the top controls in mixer mode which dont have any functionality until you hit vol/pan/etc
i recommend bome's pro...u can program the light feedback too!

Re: Launchpad Issue
I've got a Launchpad, Remote SL Compact, Axiom, external hard drive, and mouse plugged into my hub and everything runs fine. The hub has an external power source but nothing else does.

Re: splitting launchpad
try this out:
http://earhumps.com/transfer/LaunchPad-ForPA.bmtp
it's not exactly what u're looking for and there are a lot of odd midi mappings that i use, but could be a good framework for you to start customizing your launchpad how you want. good luck!

Re: splitting launchpad
I did this with Bome's midi translator but a little differently so that the top four rows of session mode launch clips, and the bottom four rows trigger drum racks on different channels. Also added in some transport control, overdub, metronome, tap tempo/fine tempo adjustment, effect rack triggering...

Re: LAUNCHPAD - Day 1
Once I got mine, I immediately went into Bome's to see if I could make it work how I wanted (I have an overly excited post somewhere in the forum). Found that I can for the most part and am pretty happy. I found that User1 mode uses channel 5, while Session and Mixer use channel 1. So setting the fi...

Re: launchpad + bome's
and another...sorry just excited...so w/ global channel stuff in bome's, it's possible to do what i wanted above. OK no more posts! do tell ok, so i figured out that you can sort of get what i was looking for by reprogramming Session mode in Bome's. User 1 sends midi channel 5 so just make sure all...
