Great book, you have to reqwire the chapter examples to output to plugout, but they work great!Good intro and advanced topics. Can't wait for other volumes! Can you elaborate more on this? I'm a total Max newb/idiot. I wrote the authors yesterday, but if I can figure out how to use the book example...

I want to follow this thread. I am completely confused by the library updating situation. I installed 8 clean, not updating my 7 library. in addition to noticing that all manner of presets and samples are missing, I also had live 7 suite installed with EIC, as well as the woodwinds set from the orch...

I already have EIC and Symphonic Winds installed from Live 7 Suite. Do I need to reinstall them for 8 Suite, or can I do something less onerous? I didn't see this in the manual, but may have missed it... Also, I have a ton of presets and Live Packs from 7. Do I need to reinstall all of these? Is the...

i finally got it to work. what wasn't clear in the reference materials was that you had to actually click inside the MIDI editor note area in order to get Live to recognize the right arrow note input.

yes, i followed the instructions in the lesson, but it didn't work. i also noted that the "+" and "-" keys aren't working in the MIDI editor for zooming in and out. It makes me wonder if it is a Mac problem.

the step record function isn't working in the MIDI editor. Supposedly it is supposed to add notes when you hit the right arrow while holding down a note, but it doesn't do anything at all. i'm wondering how you all are finding the latency with the mpd32. i find that if i activate record quantize, the beats are on the right timing, but without it, the beats are getting recorded late. And I'm pretty sure I'm playing them on time, so it seems to be a latency problem.

Any thoughts?
