Can't put Waves plugins in custom folders?
Mac OS Sierra. I finally got around to putting my plugins in custom folders by creating aliases. Big workflow and rediscovering plugins I have improver. However, it doesn't appear you can do this with Waves plugins because they use some weird shell and .bundle format. I want their compressors in my ...

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
Regroover Essential free through ADRS.com for the next couple of days, normally $99. Grab it. https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/regroover-essential/ It extracts different sounds from loops, mostly good on drums and its pretty damn good at it. It's warping engine isn't as good as Live's (ye...

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
Belgium vs USA here, these are independently run machines not at check out, near gum ball and the like.. I choose to toss my coins in a jar, when the jar gets full, take it to said machine and exchange it for iTunes gift card money. It's all my money, it's just a convenient way to get something tha...

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
What are "coins"? Are they like "cash"? Haven't used either in ages. Had an expiring $25 voucher for NI ticking (and they do actually expire now, didn’t used to), and I gave up a long time ago on collecting Maschine’s many redundant expansion libraries. So I picked up Stru...

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
It's typical that the product that could have won me over (newly released Thrill) won't be a part of Komplete until next year (presumably)... It looks pretty cool. NI has to walk that line between Komplete Ultimate upgraders only (myself included) and offering mid cycle products that you are tempte...

Re: Does anybody actually understand wavetables?
I really like the functionality of Serum and it makes sense to me but sometimes when I'm watching tuts or get a third party library that comes with custom wavetables I always wonder why they choose what they do, or even make the choice. At the end of it, it seems like the end result is mostly shaped...

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
Also interesting that even KU is a download, but I believe with their Access software it detects what you already have installed and gives you the option to just download and install what you don't already have installed and can install all or individually. The full download would be nearly 400G. 8...

Does anybody actually understand wavetables?
Massive has a bunch and Serum lets you put in your own and even create them so the possibilities are endless, but does anybody actually have deep knowledge of which to choose or is it mostly just happy accidents?

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
Finally the 50% off Komplete upgrades month. :) And good timing as my coworker got pulled into jury duty so I have to work/get paid overtime. :) Also interesting that even KU is a download, but I believe with their Access software it detects what you already have installed and gives you the option t...

Re: Availability of classic (underground) dance music?
I actually found a lot of my early 90’s dance tracks I loved back then on iTunes, but you do have to know what songs you are looking for. As far as quality, keep in mind that the production standards back then aren’t the same as today. They are comparatively thin. So even if you got a high quality f...

Re: Spitfire Audio: BT Phobos
Iv also bought this VSTi. And still havnt found it very useable at all. Omnisphere 2 has 10 times more to offer and it can load your own samples!!!!!! I find the tweakability very limited indeed, the user interface terrible small. The preset browser annoying to use. In my opinion a waste of time an...

Re: Bitwig 2 was just announced. What about Live 10?
I'm still using Live 9.7.2 and Logic Pro X for most recording projects, but thought I should give Bitwig 2 a try. I found the modulation feature excellent for auto-generated music creation. Here's an example using 100% Bitwig instruments and effects. https://youtu.be/xDikDUUqk4U Enjoy! Sweet track....

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
Buying the OSX version doesn't unlock the iOS versions, sorry. Damnit, I read the * notes wrong. :x It should unlock those for that price. Guess I have to look at the 50% off discount they are currently running for a limited time. Looks like I would have to drop yet another $60 (plus in-instrument ...
