Re: SSD drive and everything from ableton on it
My very first laptop over a decade ago came with a 4200 RPM drive internally, and I used to run well over 60+ 24bit stereo tracks on that with no issues at all. An SSD of any kind compared to that is orders of magnitude faster and easier to deal with. Get one, any one, and it will be one of the mos...

Re: SSD drive and everything from ableton on it
In regards to bandwidth issues internally I personally have never hit this limitation but I guess if you were recording and writing dozens of tracks at a time you may.
Bandwith issues? Never heard of!
I have four 7200rpm in diffrent size and they sound to mutch that's why I want to switch to SSD.

Re: SSD drive and everything from ableton on it
You still need separate drives for optimal performance. When your SSD throttles you will get dropouts and rendering errors if your 4k write threshold is met due to BG processes. So basicially what I am saying is this.. An ideal setup is 120-250GB ssd for OS (mgrd. during or after 2014) - the best on...

Re: SSD drive and everything from ableton on it
Hi friends
I also go in the thoughts of switching to SSD disks! I have 4 drives in my computer. 1, osx, Ableton 2, samples, 3, Project 4, backup. Do I need to buy 4 SSD disks or do I work from one disk?
What is the best?

Re: CPU USE MFL Convolution reverb pro strange!
Thanks for the genuine answers it is really appreciated.
And speaking of my computer so it is super fast.
9-11% cpu is not normal for a convo reverb.

Re: Live 9.2 wish list (I know this soon?)
Bigger sound. Warmer sound. Better sound. Then live should take over the market.
