Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine

The reality is that all Akai pads have suffered from a fundamental design flaw of a gap between the pads and the sensors that often causes double/missed triggering and are about the least sensitive/responsive pads there are compared to what's available today. The reality is quite opposite... http:/...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine

We can agree to disagree but I just think Push is an unfinished product at this stage, especially in terms of how it interfaces with its own software. Along with quality control and possible cost-cutting issues like the RGB LEDs not being able to display white consistently and the decision to use te...

That's a shame. You don't have to worry about doing anything like that just to play chords on Maschine's pads.

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine

And although Push's pads are supposed to be an improvement over other Akai engineered pads, from what I've been hearing they still come up short in terms of sensitivity in comparison. Curious as to the source of these erroneous reviews. You can look no further than this forum, for starters: The pad...

The edIT Show #8 - Gear Review - Push vs. Maschine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSuFK5_iUew&list=PLbOIbLE2FKPt8lzRQCHRwhe0Y0b1Pwskf&index=13 I just found it funny that when he was talking about the pads, he said "Push's pads were engineered by Akai so you're getting that level of qua...

Re: Launch Pad S or Push.....

I was on the fence with Push. The big turnoff for me was the high price. Honestly, all I'd have probably wanted to use it for would have been the step sequencer for laying down beats. I'll have to look into the new Launchpad's capabilities for this! There's already a Push emulation for the Launchpa...

Re: is there any way to....

Push seems to have awful feedback from Ableton. You would think pressing device or clip would show the device chain or note editor. The browser doesn't seem to update if you navigate somewhere on the computer. Also, is there a way to open VST GUIs? Nope, you can't open/close plugin GUIs from Push. ...

Re: analog style step sequencing with push...possible?

fx parameter locks style push would be the absolute dream. Yeah, really surprised they didn't think to implement that on Push but I think it's a limitation of Live itself? Abes should learn from how Maschine does it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdJh4FMNhNE&t=05m20s http://www.youtube.com/wat...

Re: Recording - audio track

Oops, I somehow confused this with wanting to activate record in arrangement view from Push out of the box. My bad. Of course you should be able to arm and record on audio tracks from Push. Despite all its limitations, that would be simply ridiculous if you couldn't.

Re: Push - Sample Recording/Chopping workflow needed.

This is the first time i've watched any sampling tutorials on Maschine. I'm a Live user and nothing else, but before that, I made beats on an MPC1000. This makes me want to get Push and Maschine and use them both side by side. Sampling sure looks a lot more fun on the Maschine. No doubt. When it co...

Re: What would you like to see in Push in the future?

Out of interest, how does 'that other controller' select multiple MIDI notes? To select multiple events in Maschine, you hold down the SELECT button (you can also "pin" it) and press EVENTS. Now when you tap a pad, all events on that pad are selected. You can use the encoders to move the ...

Here's a little something to help inspire a solution for implementing zoom/scroll on the Push: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6z1gDGgULA&t=01m21s
