Can you route midi from Live into rebirth? ie does it understand the GM standard for drums? If so you can do what you want with a bit of rack know how in Ableton

You probably have stuff recorded in arrange or session view that's getting started at the same time. If there's a red icon at the top of the screen (in the middle) click it and your problem will probably go away.

It's not impossible that a single developer was responsible for this if the piece of code they were working on was central to a lot of the system (though why you'd let an idiot like that work on something so important I'm not sure).

This is one I did a while ago. It's a bit experimental, and rhythmless but might be of interest to you. Doesn't use any third party VSTs so you shouldn't need to download anything else.

Enable the second set of outputs in Preferences (probably called 3/4). Then change the Cue channel (found above the Main channels volume slider, you may need to switch on the IO section to view this).

This should be in the manual if you want to do some reading
