As I'm an owner of Live since version 4, I've pid for version 4, 5 and 6 (each time : 99 € !) All I see in v...

Re: 64-bit summing engine - I'm gladly eating my words

The new 64-bit audio engine in Live 7 is really good. I just did a side-by-side comparison of a very cluttered and muddy Live 6 song in Live 7 beta, and the new audio engine is showing off the depth and clarity of 64-bit summing bus. Very nice, very clear, all in all, EXCELLENT. I stated in another...

Other than L6 vs. L7, the only difference is that I turned dithering off in Elephant in the master chain in L7 and used L7's Pow-r 1 dithering option, whereas in L6, I used Elephant's internal dithering. Of course, if TD comes back and tells me that both the two files cancel each other out in a pha...

   Didn't make it into Live 7 I guess  No it didnt despite the numerous threads asking for this feature including this one. This is not a feature that would be important to me but i can clearly see how important this would be for many people. I remember when I first got live a few years ago and thought it would be a dead cert I could record automation inside clips. that was version 2. now coming to v7 and its still not t...

Not sure what kind of difference 64 bit audio will make (except make freeze files fecking massive), but hat least it should stop people worrying about the quality and let them concentrate on their music. . It will make zero difference to audio quality its just another PR sales tact that all daw man...

I have a PC anc Mac laptops as well as my full size machine. On the laptops I can barely get 10 audio tracks and a few plugins....
