Re: audio trigger as tap tempo ?

Hey buddy, I did a quick Google and think I might have come up with some solutions for you that should work. One looked like it was perfect (and freeware), but I cant find it for download anywhere: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/4376.html I found another good freeware, but I'm not sure if it outputs to...

Re: Problem setting default Simpler import volume to 0 db. Help?

Thank you very much, sir! You solved my problem!! :D :D 8) Extra w00t! That problem had been bugging the crap out of me. To fix my problem, I had to do like you said (right click on the Simpler device with something dropped in it and set to 0db, then click "save as default"), then drop it ...

w00t! Finally got ASIO4ALL working. Read this if you can't.

I was finally able to get ASIO4ALL working, and even with my USB microphone :D. Before I couldn't even get it to make sound. I found out that the problem was that I had the SPDIF device also enabled. So I disabled that, and also the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth needs to be disabled. Then the only de...

Problem setting default Simpler import volume to 0 db. Help?

Hey guys. First of all I would like to say thanks to anybody who can help me out. I am having problems setting the default volume level on imports into Simpler to 0 db. This becomes apparent for me when using Drum Rack. Every time I drop a drum sample onto Drum Rack it automatically reduces the leve...

Re: Drum Rack vs. Impulse -- Individual Effects on samples

Wait, I figured out a way to put effects on the Impulse samples independantly. Start a new track and then set the input to that track to the Impulse set and select the instrument in the lower menu.

Sweet. It's a nice workaround but I think I'll start learnin' Drum Rack anyway.

Peace.

Drum Rack vs. Impulse -- Individual Effects on samples

Correct me if I'm wrong please. Am I right in saying that in Drum Rack you can set individual effect on each sample independently, and in impulse you are not able to do this? If you can do this in impulse, can you please enlighten me? I've only been using Ableton for a week. Maybe it's time I learne...

Re: First song (untitled)

Hey man that's not bad at all. Lots of good ideas in there! Really the thing you need the most is some good drum kits. You could swap those out real easy if you get some good ones. Email me if you want to know where to get some good drum kits for real cheap. I just got 6gb of badass ones yesterday. ...

Re: Mr. Bill - 10 Hour Tutorial Mega Series!

What the fudge? You say you have a tutorial series on here. I go to your stupid site and sign up to see the tutorials and it says I have to pay $10. Are you crazy? You should have said that to start with so I wouldn't have wasted my time signing up for your dumb site. I'm all for capitalism but at l...

Workaround to Mapping Overdub To MIDI Button

I was trying to map the overdub function to a button on my Axiom keyboard. It wouldn't work because the buttons are only on-buttons (not on/off like a key on a keyboard). It would only let me press it once, but not turn it back on to toggle. So I thought of a workaround. You map the Overdub function...

Re: How to Map a MIDI Button to Key Combo (like Ctrl-Z) Tutorial

Oh yeah, another bonus of using Midi Translator is that it allows you to start up Ableton without your MIDI keyboard being plugged in, then you can plug it in later and have Ableton recognize it. You just have to open back up the Midi translator and make sure your keyboard is selected. If you don't ...

How to Map a MIDI Button to Key Combo (like Ctrl-Z) Tutorial

Hi guys. First off let me introduce myself. People call me Cut. I'm new to Ableton and even newer to the forum. I have already found help with a million questions by lurking here. I am absolutely loving Live now that I'm starting to get the hang of things. I don't even have a yearning for ProTools a...
